Well to be honest it is not looking that great. Friday is a SE forecast at 10-15 kts. A few of us will probably sail/foil from Coal Point (Lake Macquarie). SE no good for Budgewoi Saturday is a late and light NE, probably will come to nothing. Sunday is a slightly stronger NE should be OK at Coal Point, and possibly at Budgiewoi. But generally speaking Coal Point gets a lot more wind.

Thanks for reply. Will have to check my options currently at Budgewoi caravan park. Cheers
Went there today and there was nothing worth getting wet for. Sunday is looking doubtful as well but who knows what might happen, certainly not the BoM. Being at Budgewoi is a bonus so hopefully you'll get a sail. The water level is pretty high and a bit dirty looking as well.

Thanks WaynoB . Enjoying the place, exploring on my bike and the beaches. Today looks light also. Here now to Tuesday. Monday a possibility? Is NW sailable from Peel St? Cheers Kev B
Yeah Kev a NW is sailable from Peel St. I'm waiting to see what happens today so I may head up early afternoon to check it out. If it turns Southerly you may want to go from Buff Point. But be aware that due to the extra water in the lake the depth is higher than usual so it is unlikely you will find much flat water. Also it looks pretty dirty from the rain runoff.

I remember sailing there heaps as a youngster. Southerlies on the Lake Munmorah side, NorEasters on the Budgewoi side. The water was always warm, but it was a little weedy. Even back then there wasn't a whole lot of windsurfers. Great spot to learn.
