With the west forecast tomorrow Foreshore Drive should be flattest water.

Kernel will be bumpy out in the middle and LaPerouse should be nice bump & jump sailing.

narra lakes is the flattest in a westerly, patchy, but solid wind on a weed bank over the other side, its flatter and easier than foreshore drive, if not yarra bay, or up to budgey

Went to primbee today for a bit of a blast. Awesome to see the carpark full and 20+ out. I haven't sailed the speed strip before and I was pretty impressed. Might have to get a GPS for next westerly!

I was in the airport (Kyeemagh side) for sat and sun the whole day. I did see anyone doing windsurfing except me..

Weather report said it was 15-20 knots, but I doubt because whitecaps did not appear sometimes

On sat, it was very gusty and coming from few directions, I could see 2 winds crashing each other by watching how the sea current moves. One from the north, one from the west
Lucky, I went home before 4pm where the wind suddenly hit 40 -50 knots. On my way home, the traffic light on top of the road is shaking, and rubbish flying around the street..

Also, I met a guy on sat, he gave up because it did not have enough wind at around 12pm. Funny thing weather report said it was windy

On sun, being alone, I took extra precaution, I set more downhaul and outhaul to control the gust, and try to stay within 300 meters to shore. Wind is less gusty compared to sat. Wind was not strong as all, white caps did not appear half of the time.
The wind is really on and off, On one moment, it is <10 knots, on the other moment, it can be 20 knots

I got a small sail 4.7 (in case that 40-50 knots suddenly comes), and a floaty 160L board, with my 60kg weight

Conclusion, it was not fun because I just spend little time planing.

Also, I start to doubt the accruacy of the weather history report in the airport..

I was in Rose bay for the past few months, gusty as well, and less wind. but less boring because you got great view, and many sailors surrounding you

You got it all wrong, you should not sail where the wind is blowing offshore. Sat morning Kurnell was the place to be. Sat afternoon after 2pm and all Sunday Foreshore drive, other side of the airport. There the wind was gusty, but flat water.
