Hi All,

I am now facing the realities of trying to match my the opportunities I have to go windsurfing with the prevailing conditions and location.

So I am looking for advice on a longboard that I can use in Sydney Harbour on lighter wind days? I live pretty close to Rose Bay so that is a logical launch point. I have a Starboard Go 151 which I enjoy trying to master in stronger winds in Botany Bay etc but doesn't represent too much fun when the wind is less dependable this time of year.

Looking second hand of course and have been considering a Windsurfer One Design (which I used to use 'back in the day'), Mistral One design or similar. Would one of these be better than the other ? Or is there something else to consider? I have a very old HiFly 300 CS but it is so heavy and the mast extension that fits the board is a slightly different size from my current mast so I'm not sure if that is the answer.

I am 88kg, can beach start, get in harness, foot straps etc and will be sorting out waterstarts and starting to gybe hopefully if time allows later this year.

As always any advice great fully received,

Thanks

Craig

Hey Craig...There is a bunch of windsurfing activity developing at Woollahra Sailing Club/ Rose Bay
I just joined myself so I can keep my board down there and sail mid week also...

Call Belly on 0475 556 301 ...He knows everything happening down at Rose Bay and is down there most days....See you there...cheers

Hi Brett, that is great info and I will give Belly a call, I would be pretty happy if I could leave my board there!
