Hey gang,

It's that time again, we've run out of fun vouchers to buy medals and trophies.

As we think you should get something in return for supporting us, our annual _when_we_get_around_to_it_ fundraiser normally consists of selling merchandise of some sort.

The first year it was T-shirts, then it was rashies, and we still have some stickers left over from last time.

Now it's time to think of something branded with the GPS Team Challenge logo that you desperately want, and that we can sell to you with a bit of a buffer left over so we can buy medals and stuff in the off season.

Some of you were talking about another rashie run, others were keen on T-shirts, please let us know what you would like us to make this year.

The item with the most green thumbs (or in the event of a tie, the one that Hardie and I decide on) will get made and you'll be able to order it. All profits go towards buying medals and trophies for the deserving.

Thanks again for your support, we really appreciate it

I like the idea of rashies (they wear out, so time to renew).
Need white or light colour for summer.

Also, set up an account, even paypal or whatever, so people can throw a donation at you.

I mean what is $5 or $10 or $20 once a year for what we are now getting (fun, lots of expensive gear, camaraderie) out of windsurfing - thanks to the GPSTC.

I like Wineman's idea for a paypal account (or even just a bank a/c) for donations and maybe Australian members donate half their 2 sec peak in dollars up to a max of $20. Or maybe everyone chips in $10 bucks each if they want to. That's small change for ensuring the health of the GPSTC for many years to come.

Merchandise - T shirts would be my preference although Rashies, Stickers, stubbie coolers, or red polka dot yellow board shorts would all be okay.

My rashie has a big hole in it, so I'm due a new one.
Both Tshirts are wearable but new ones would be better.
One sail sticker is defunct due to harness hook going thru it.

Basically I'll be in whatever's going.

Tshirt, couple of variations in colour, Rashie or the Rigging Jacket sounds OK.

At this time of year a long sleeved polypropylene (lycra fleece) rashie would be a good idea!

What about a collective approach to Team Captains to arrange a whiparound for a small donation. I see no reason to exclude overseas teams.

I like this idea herb, combined with previously mentioned paypal account, the Internationals could be brought into the medals & cups fold.

It would be nice if the Internationals could organise their own fund raising projects, but I guess that's too complicated.

There's also the extra work and organising for Nebs and Hardie to consider, and I guess they will, (consider)

I like the idea of t shirts, it's been awhile since the first lot, makes it easy to spot other GPSTC'ers and I'd be happy with simple graphics/logo instead of sponsors all over it Rashies & hoodies are no good to me, I've never worn the last one but realise not everyone lives in the troppics

I still have your bank details so I'm happy just to donate if merchandise doesn't suit little old me

Thanks

Too hard for a team like ours Herby, it would be a lot easier for individuals to donate via direct deposit or pay pal if set up that way, although I'd be happy to help those who can't

Polo shirts please.
1. They look smarter
2. Would wear it everywhere
3. Some of us have problems with oversize necks and Tee shirts - choke
4. Maybe the polo is an option instead of the Tee

I thought rashies were originally developed to go under wetties, to stop wet suit rash?????
I certainly find it more comfortable.

There's also the possibility of thermal rashies, when you need that extra heat boost.

Another thought..One of the most useful Windsurfing bits I have (had) and use every time I sail is a Cam Cleat tool for downhauling the sail. Just lost mine..

Could you brand some of those?

If it is easy to donate, ie PayPal, I see no reasons why us internationals won't chip in. I for one could promote this on our national speed-forum.

Merchandise would be nice too! T-shirts, rashies and stickers is always nice!

Keep up the good work!
