I use the google earth overlay function from KA72.com to view my track on Google Earth. How then do you then cut and paste the tracks from Google Earth into either Seabreeze or GPSteamchallenge?

I have a trial version of GPS results www.gps-speed.com/download_e.html that allows you to do a google earth overlay of selected track. Find this much simpler than doing screen grab from KA72 or manually loading into GE. You can modify track colour, weight, and transparency easily in GE. That said the great thing about KA72 though is it shows your best runs in all the categories and you can manually load track file (from KA72) directly into GE with GPSTC categories highlighted in their respective colours.

An easy way to copy and paste the screen is to use the snipping tool in Windows 7. Just type in snipping in the search bar and it will pop up. Then select what you want to copy and it will want to save it to file. You can then insert the file or use the image how you like. Its fairly self explanatory.

At the bottom of the track page on ka72 you can download the kml ( I think its kml) file and open that file with google earth...

As sausage said.. all loads in and you can change colours... study tracks... good fun.

John, if you install Google Earth (Free) and save the .kml file from KA72 you then open the kml in Google Earth and can zoom in/out change colours etc. (as mentioned by bearhoover). Once you have the view you want, to save as a JPG use the Google Earth menu: File/Save/Save Image... You can then upload the JPG to GPSTC.

1st I load track from GT31 to my GPSResults
Then: FILE>GoogleEarth Overlay

When I fix the desired zoom and angle in GE I capture the screen (I use fastone screen capture)

Back in GPS Results in track field, rightclick: Load background image

Then I adjust zoom to tracks be same size, press CTRL+F to merge tracks and background, adjust zoom again to all fit in window

then I remove check from Display>Tracks (just to have one tracks not 2 of them)

After that again screen capture of final GPSR image and post to GTC
I never use KA72, I allways out 6 parameters by hand from GPSR on 3 decimals
