it's a jungle out there, sometimes i wonder how i keep from going under. 
If you have a sail cut on a totally constant curve mast, and you stick a mast in it that has a very flexy tip, how do you compensate?
It will have too loose a leech in relation to the skin tension in the lower 30-50% of the sail.
If you use downhaul or outhaul to rectify ONE are area the other area will be wrong.
Maybe I'm missing something greenie- but I think you are dreaming.

most masts, yes. But there are many sails and many masts that will simply be crap no matter how ya pull on it, it will still be crap.
