windsurf in perth where should i stay

i am working in perth where should i stay for the best windsurfing spots to be as close to them as possible

i was there for work, in December. The "Pelican Point" spot on the swan river (you can rent gear there), is only 10 minutes from the Hotel strip at Adelaide Tce. in the CBD. Sounds like I will be there in February also.

I guess i was more keen to sail on the ocean side last time i sailed on that rive i got a ruptured appendix and spent a couple of weeks in the freemantle hospital

thanks for the info anyway

where else would you consider sailing in perth

Either Scarbarough or Cottesloe area's. Lots of places to stay at. Not many waves around at this time of the year though.

thanks for the info, i have ended up booking into the north beach area but really close to the water looking forward to wind if no waves, how far would you have to travel for descent sized waves?

Rottnest if you have a boat, or probably lancelin is your best chance, (about 1hr drive north)

safety bay is good if you like flatwater stuff, it is the ocean but its flatwater unless you go into the bay where it is just like the ocean.

There are a couple of good B&B's around there i hear
