Richard,
The Forecast for today has been downgraded to 15-20 knots, but who knows, the wind could still come up to 25kn later in the afternoon. So I guess bring enough gear to cover a 15-25knots wind range

I have noticed that at Victoria Point the sailors tend to go home a bit earlier than say, wello point or Manly. I think this would be because Victoria Point can be quite a long drive home to Brisbane city.
Don't worry about sailing Victoria Point alone for the first time. I sailed there alone the first time I saw the place, it's really safe. The southerly/south easterly blows on-shore so if you get in trouble you'll only get blown back to a sandy beach. At high tide the whole area is waist deep.
Looks like the southerly change has already started at Banana Banks this morning, should be good today. See you there, we will be in an old white hi-ace van at the southern end of the Park. I'll even throw an extra beer in for ya
