What's with all these northerly to southerly changes taking place during the day on a saturday? This will be the third Saturday in a row I think we've been jinxed. At least this weekend is looking a bit more promising
I think it may have something to do with the weather conditions. It seems to blow from one direction than changes to another thus the bom forecast is from northeast with southerly change. And only happening on Saturdays? I can't beleive it myself, I am sure I have sailed a southerly change on a different day but I could be wrong.
Also why does a north easter actually blow to the south west, shouldn't it be called a southwesterly? Back to front if you ask me.
When it is calm, is it really calm or is there a massive southerly blowing against a massive northerly cancelling everything out?
I am not sure about all of the above, it is just a theory as I have only been windsurfing for about 20 years.
wish we had your problem of wind, our beaches are closed due to a couple of crocs, have been uphauling recently not water starting.I think I think that I have recorded some record times getting back on the board after crashing.
the truth is that the strange weather is due to recent cloud seeding experiments.
it is a new initiative by the howard government to see of global warming and it's resultant droughts.
unfortunately the recent attempts haven't gone to plan. they have caused funny winds on saturdays, plagues of jeelyfish on sundays and solar flares which cause unhappiness in local termite populations.
