i have a 2010 falcon, 102l, i sold it to a guy for 550 with a board bag and 37select fin, about 6mths before i bought it from shop for 1200, it had damage on the rail, paint was worn off and some cracks, i told him and showed him, i told him it needs to be professionally repaired and too take it too the shop, we got to talking, his an old windsurfer come back to the sport after a ten yr absence, he tells me, he thinks he can fix the board himself, i tell him, i wouldnt, i would take it to the shop, but i also tell him, that plenty of people fix there own stuff, and it doesnt look to hard if you know what youre doing, anywhoooo, he buys board, goes home and trys to fix the rail himself, he calls me later that night, he tells me, he tried to fix the rail, but its got worse and he wants his money back......i tell him, ok, but now some friends are telling me, no way, i dont want to rip anyone off, i told him it was damaged, needed to be fixed by a pro, i actually took a hundred off agreed price for the repair, again, i dont really know what the right thing too do is, i dont wanna make him feel disapointed or ripped off, but now he has done more damage, should i give back money, or is it his board now?, i bought an 800 dollar mast, broke third time, i rang the guy, pffffff, tough titties he told me, i bought a boom, never used it, took it too the shop to trade in, they told me, pffffff, its broken and snapped it in front of me, i told that guy about that, he said he was unaware it was damaged, but thats the risk you take at that price, pfffffff, i thought, whatever! but i didnt hide the damage from the guy who bought my board, i told him, showed him, and he bought it, ha, im stressing, ill give back the money, buit im interested to hear what people would do, thanks
