hi haircut for the people around us not used to being strapped on to a windcatcher won't never ever feel the aching to get wet..shucks been watching the trees calling up the airport tower just to get daily reports on wind conditions besides the daily grind..i've seen the windreports in "your" area bordering QLD/NSW it should be gusting min. 17 some parts..that's still bad?

My wind tree looks like a 'movie still!!!'

Looks like I'll be 'working on the house', or 'taking the kids to the playground' today

Not a bad thing, but I'd rather be on the water!

strange weather here in Sydney too... very little in the way of westerlies typical for August. Already had a couple of NEers in late August which I guess should have really been NWers for this time of the year.

I think there have been around 10 sailable days here in Sydney in the last 3 months.

Same....Just noticed the wind picking up, drove to the beach (2mins), watched a kitesurfer setup his kite, by the time he got his wetty on it had dropped from about 15kts to 5kts, poor bugger....not a good look standing on the beach, rigged up, watching the wind die! done it myself a few times

called the airport tower today and at least got 14-17kts..so i sped to the local spot and suddenly the wind shifted southeast(side-offshore)in our area. must have been localized weather, but for the most part this monsoon season really sucks..good for the agriculture in our area but for boardheads not so..well what could i do, but drive home empty feeling and down and didn't want to really do family outing..all this weirdo winds are driving me nuts..if it was a good day i'd bring them anywhere even though i'd be feeling sleepy but smiling..i've been checking qld's winds and they're howling, can't you guys go to the other side on a wrong direction to get the wind right?
