does anyone know where I could find an old school long raceboard like the type I used to race in the late eighties. I would like to get hold of anything like a Tiga Pro, Hifly race, Jim French, Wright Designs etc. There used to be a bunch of them in Perth I just hope they weren't all sacrificed to huey in the slalom craze of the 90's. Its Ok if it needs a little work as I am familiar with board repair.
there was a heap of old style longies at balcatta tip,, 10 bux each,,, dont know if they were race boards, but they were defo long and very bloody heavy.
Walive, I have a Hi-Fly pro race in reasonable condition if you're interested. PM me and I can send some photos. (Hasn't been ridden since I left home in 1986 for uni) Don't know how much it would be worth though and what transport cost would be?
hi laurie have replied to your email/pm sent about my hi fly race pro which is advertised in the buy and sell on this forum check your pm's ps..yes I originally replied to your pm, thinking you were the "Laurie"...hee hee cheers rusty
wouldn't the f2 lightning race be the pick of the old long race boards? or the mistral equivelent? they were the last of the era and were carbon. Robbie N even managed a forward on his mistral raceboard
I will contact you about the IMCO board, I raced the first IMCO nationals which would have been on be the same era board as the one you have. Oh I wish I knew where my Wright designs ended up. Is your IMCO package in good nick.
I have a near mint condition Cobra Slalom 280 i think it is in the rafters... took it out sailing only a few weeks ago... beautiful and light board... might be keen to sell it...
