12-15 knots on the river, got planing most runs with my 6.0, gybing over the sandbanks at each end, sun was shining, boardies and rashie, what a beautiful day

From the graphs it looks like the train would be a bit marginal... how was it Haircut?

twaz very good probably averaged about 18knots. Several new faces there too. About 10-15 people out on a weekday

had to miss out today, sold the my f2 stoke and waiting on the JP's to hit the store, fingers crossed for tommorrow! Im thinking North Kirra

waiting on the baord, they are held up in brissy port customs, will be getting the sails thru summer, keep you posted!

The other option is some ocean bump 'n jump at the Mirage- less crowded car parks!

had a windsurf this arvo in the alley, not quite enough oomph for the boomph.

needed just a few more knots, plus I was on a borrowed 92l board, not enough volume for me today.

Kirra was ok from 10-1.I was trying to sail the 6.7 in the little waves like a smaller sail.Broke the pin in the mast base out the back and had to decide whether to stick with the sail or board.I know -stick with the board but lose the rig.Stuff that- side swam the sail in and the board ended up on the beach further down.I will say that if the board had started to drift out in a rip I would have chosen the board.Upon inspection there was evidence of rusting through a hairline crack in the thread.I now understand why they prefer not to use the euro pin in Hawaii.I will be changing.Changed to a 6m as it picked up a little.Was ok but too onshore and the waves out the back dirty to wind too much.Pole dancer said that it had only peaked at 17knots but it felt comfortable most of the time even on a 6m.
Also - Had a bikini clad German back packer girl approach, asking if there were sharks and can you swim in the ocean there mentioning how deserted it was around this beach and was it possible to bath nude.I kept my eye on the wind and mentioned that I could only talk with her while it was flukey and the swell was small.I had to adjust my rig while talking to her on the beach.Eventually the time for talk was over as a fresh gust came through.She grabbed my rig while I was heading back to the water which while nice in intent was not very helpful.A bit of pumping and I was out behind the break as she left as quickly as she came.
Interesting day.

clarity LOL, you mean to help you with your rig or to USE your rig

i reckon it's safe to disregard Seabreeze's forecasts at this time of year coz ironically it doesn't seem to take a seabreeze into account. the local news on telly saying increasing 20-25 inshore for the arvo tomorrow (saturday)

Been sailing the last two days at Kirra. It has been excellent on a 5.3 It may be onshore but it has more wind than the rest of the coast in a Northerly.
