a few months back wrote a topic regarding cuyo island..wind's coming in and season's starting to come..helping out a friend develop a windsports resort..snags left and right regarding dept. of natural resources, fisherfolk, atoll rocks..i.e. red nightmare tape..brought over kit and forgot finskited to test very good..had to stop bldg. bungalows temporarily cuz the folks aren't used to using mahogany and bamboo and A-class design so we have to import from the other island..am here 3wks of the month..7pm all you see are stray dogs and a few lovers..with no income for the municipality at least the best they could do is form a committee to facilitate our needs and not let me run around in circles explaining and doing 'scope of work' and all applications..was invited to the council meeting for question and answer for 10mins and turned out to be 1 hr. worse i got cited for improper clothing but i apologized-who uses long pants and decent collared shirts anyhows[}:)]the wind's blowing for heavens sake let us do our thing and all's well for the community..so for now it's just simple huts for next week..we have one violation now for moving tons of man made atolls(stone fish traps) that are not in use for the last 3generations that i know of..made payao's(fish aggregating devices) in return..have problems with sorry to say a mean little ozzie who doesn't want to give a 77mtr. 3mtr. wide right of way..what the heck sail first do the paperwork latermaybe anyone from seabreeze has a realtime google earth and check if the man-made island about 5mtrs square and 3mtrs. high is visible at the northeast quadrant of this wonderful but too slow a paced levels of govt.as long as i can have speared fish for lunch makes me happy for now
