i cut mine off mate ( wasent a NP ) still carbon but only lossed about 1/2 inch no big deal i tryed to get them off but was doing more damage worked out sweet was instructed not to glue the new ones on and havent had a problem its all sweet

Thanks for the tips guys. I put the new ones on tonight.

In the end i just cut the old ones off (only lost 25mm off the boom length).

The push on half fitted very tight so i have just pushed then on. i did'nt use the glue supplied as they wont budge.

Thanks Mike i will keep an eye on them. i had to tap (very gently) them on. They are that tight i cant even get them off. I put tape on them as well.

i am all for other laungages please dont get me wrong but it needs to make sence and be some what correct to start with ( i have enough trouble with english)

First of all thanks to all other contributors and their comments - very useful. I've ordered my replacement kit through www.surfsailaustralia.com.au, which is easy as even if you order in NZ. One more tip when replacing these - my boom had only one side not working anymore and through trial and error I figured that it's actually only one particular twist lock that's loose and not the glued-on parts. So when the new kit arrrived I simply changed the 2 loose locks and immediately you can feel how much tigher it locks - takes all of 1 minute and worth a try before you replace/cut the glued-on parts.
