as you guys mightve heard ive had a nasty stack a few hundred metres out from shore about 5 weeks back. as im about to get back in the water in a few weeks i need something thatll both protect my ribs on the side a little, and also keep me afloat if it goes bad again.
anyone got any ideas about a pfd thatll do it? any help would be great.

I got a neil pryde impact vest for the LOC. Highly recommended. Fits snug, doesn't move, floats and protects.
Brilliant. About $100 from memory.

Second the NP impact vest. It keeps your midriff supported and protected. The harness hook system minimizes the chances of being caught under the sail with tangled harness lines. The vest povides decent buoyancy.

Corey, nest time you are down I can show you both the impact vest and the PFD.

The impact vest works extremely well on those Gnarly days, unfortunately it won't stop your retarded mates going "Oooo Impact vest" and punching you in the slats

. It does offer some buoyancy just not as much as the PFD

make sure the pfd doesn't get in the way of the hook.
