As this seems to be a hot topic and lots of you appear to be well clued up on mast I'll ask away.

I know you can mix and match different top and bottom sections of skinny mast to play around with flex response as well alter the obvious lenghts etc. However, is this only maunfacturer specific i.e. could a ezzy skinny mast section be matched with say a powerex or a no limitz. Any combo of top and bottom but with different makes, you get the idea.

I've used ezzy and powerex together in the past with no worries, but i think this was when they were the exact same mast but just rebadged. I've also used combinations of ezzy, powerex and challenger (i think) and thats also been fine. My current mast is a mixture of YES and some unknown brand. So my thinking is as long as the fit is really snug at the ferrule there is no problem durability wise.

Fluggered if I know.

Couple of questions to ask.

Is the join the exact same dimensions?
Different diameters means there will either not fit or be loose which will multiply the stress at the join.

Are the Spigots the same length. differing lengths could mean diferent reinforcement areas, thus different strengths.

How it will rig and perform? Fluggered if I know.

Heres a question

I thought Skinnies were supposed to be bullet proof
