wondering how you guys feel when the conditions were just perfect everybody rigging frantically to head out as for me on the last few cm's of downhaul mast breaksfreakin' succotash! nobody had a reserve..i had to keep my cool. I look to the pickup and should i go to the 'darkside' and use the 12mtr in the most choppy of conditions for this sporthmm..went for it on full depower on front lines and least pull on the pigtails and made the most out of it..turned out well but never could take my mind off of the mast..well can't have everything

Not sure, it's the worst moment JP, I'd much rather have a breakage on the beach before I hit the water, than 8km away on the other side of the estuary!!!!

But I know what you mean, it can be frustrating.

you were lucky! twice ive copped it in the water
2nd time was close to shore but nebs sorted me out. thanks mate.

know what you mean D i was thinking it could been worst 30mtrs offshore and rip the luff sleeve coming back which am glad it didn't

i decided i wanted to live my expencive sail and stuff became a non issue for life survival.
