In NSW putting a bolt through the floor in a hole that was not put in place by the manufacturer can void your insurance unless you get an engineering cert stating it mets the ADR (which is not as much hassle as you would think). Any even minor modification now has to be certfied.....red tape. Mind you, you need to be caught!
