Hi guys and gals.Sorry this is a long story....wo is me lol
im new to this site, got on it to sell my gear due to health issues.but it really makes me want to get out and sail again.
I like cruising really,I love my wallyboards, with the rig from my Mistral screamer. My dilema is I started up sailboarding at the age of 38 to help improve my scarred lungs, obtained from being a muscian in pubs and clubs all my life,I do not smoke and am testimony to the ill effects of passive smoking,so sailboarding at least made me feel alive but 3 years ago on a Safari up the north coast of NSW,I was stuck out in a massive gale and thought Ill beat it,and stuck with it on the wally until I ripped a hearnia for my troubles,it eventually got worst[yes painful now],and am now awaiting surgery[to make matters stranger my girlfriend at the time[new to sailboarding thanks to me] whom i got one of those foam, supermarket, wide windsurfers was goin like all guns on the lake, as they only really performed in gale winds lol]
anyway Im too ripped to be able to lift my wallyboards much now,and the Mistral Screamer is too unstable for me to rest on it when I need to,so ive forced myself to sell them,I am now wondering if you guys think I should chase down one of these wide boards that are still lightprefer under 10 kg[for carrying, without the extra weight of that rubber matting],stable enough when my health forces me to rest, and a light weight rig, perhaps my existing rig with the mistral,or a lighter version,I have been using my 4.5 and 5 only as its all i can uphaul with my health issues,I feel Ive lost the thing that did actually make me feel healthy, even if it was only in my mind.
Ok what boards do you recomend..lightweight,wide stable, and preferably used,if possible,If I sell the others Ill put it into a replacement for my other 4 boards.Dont knock the wallys though,I got into windsurfing cause I was dating A One Design contestant at the Sydney Nationals and I thought to myself.Hey I can do that,so my passion came from that girlfriend.Preetty cool eh.lol
copies of this speach can be obtained from the foyer.

I was going to suggest an old formula board with a light 8.5 such as a KA or a gaastra swift but if you are having trouble uphauling a 5 then maybe you should get a beach cat or something.

Thanks YOYO
A 5 is what is comfortable for me,
What Im thinkin, from checkin the web,is a wide board, under 10 kg preferably, probably over 150 litres, still would like a centreboard?,Sydney doesnt seem to have enough choices secondhand or new, seems more available WA and cheaper,..

What have you guys got for sale.

I can use the rig off my Mistral Screamer,
my one designs are just too heavey to lift and carry, although I still prefer to sail them.
