hey,
anyone know of a good way to get a snapped batton end out of sail? It is stuck pretty hard, but then again i havent been trying to push it too hard out cause i reckon i could screw it up.
It seems it is stuck in the really rigid bit at the mast, about 4cm long. Top batten neil pryde solo 7m.

Cheers.

in addition to that, I've used a very fine sewing needle to push the end out of the end of the pocket

I had this happen to me this summer -

took the sail down to a Barracuda sail makers in caringbah.

took the guy 10 min to unstich the batten pocket pull the batten out and restitch the pocket - Cost about 25$ all up (inc a new batten) and you cant even tell there was even a repair done.

these guys are very good - get it done right or risk damaging the sail more.

Ps keep the end of the batten with the clip so they can put it on the new batten.
