options in order of preference:
(1) longer boom
(2) longer extensions for your boom (if it is old you may get a complete longer tail with the right diameter at any one of a number of windsurfing shops for very little outlay)
(3) drill another hole in your extension bits about 4cm further up. This is NOT good and increases the chance of breakages but if you do not sail overpowered, and are not heavy and won't pump hard, and be sensible it may be an option for a short while until you can afford option 1.
I reckon I save up for a new 2nd hand boom.
because i just might be overpowered because the wind picked up all of a sudden and I didn't notice it coming, and I'm stuck out there somewhere trying to get back to the beach without referring to swimming.
