There's a styrene manufacture business in our area and they use molds to make their products wouldn't it be easier to make an exact copy of the core by making a mold for the blanks? it would save alot of time shaping the boards.

great videos gesty, choco a fully shaped styrene blank would be to fragile when you bag it, you could run the risk of the board and rocker looseing its shape when its under pressure in the vac/bag,

I was wondering the same thing about the plastic, they must have used 10m easy on that board.

I saw that Nelson shapeing video a while back and those high rise thongs cracked me up, I'm gunna make some !
I thought that it was just me single handedly supporting Bunnings with all the masking tape I use, but I saw the vid and realized I'm not alone
I'm stoked he put that vid out so people can see how much time and effort goes into making a board. That shaping machine saves about 4 or 5 hours per board a shame really as the shaping is the most satisfying part, especially when you've finished and your looking at all those curves on that clean pristene white foam.

That was good, now we know why boards cost so much, disapointed in the last one though, all that work and no nice paint job, poor effort to the art department..
