girls in bikinis... simple!

sorry all my flat water brethren, but you guys are just missin out!

what a glorious place to windsurf the beaches in summer is the gold coast!

example, today at the alley, my buddy and I are walking back to the car, a gorgeous girl wearing a G banger stands up and starts lathering herself in sunblock, but then she bends forward to do something!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now she was dead square rear end towards us, and we were only 3 metres from her!! Im still pulling the sand out of my tongue from when it dropped out and hit the ground!

Ahhhh windsurfing! 10 yrs of dusty old motocross tracks and not 1 bikini babe to be seen... I now know where I would rather be!

Problem with the beach is you got to clean all your gear after you use it. Get rid of all the salt and sand. Thats if you look after it. Even after a couple of days sailing in fresh water i'll clean my gear. I need it to last as long as it can.

with refernce to the injury sustained in the 'very painful injury' thread, maybe the eye candy on the beach has something to do with that.

May have to keep focused on the water on the way in and only entertain the eyes on the way back.

I read something, somewhere*, that said people that sail in saltwater shouldn't wash their sails down with fresh as it allows mould to grow whereas the salt water stops it.

that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!!

Matt

* Caveat: I may in fact be making this up entirely.

Yeah i wash my gear to keep it looking good and in good condition. Can make it easier to sell also. I need to get as much as i can out of all my gear. Can't afford much more at the moment.

I would only wash my gear about twice a year. Reason is the chlorine in fresh water is just as bad as the salt. I try and rinse the mast base and boom ends to avoid corrosion, but that is about it. Also being careful when rolling the sail up.

The only thing you have to be careful with when rolling up your kit after sailing at the beach is that you don't have craploads of sand on the sail. It doesn't actually do any structural harm but it will scratch the monofilm pretty smartly (if that bothers you). As long as you carry your kit from water -> grass without setting down on the sand it's fine; in that situation rinsing would achieve about -5 (damage from chlorine etc) ^_^

Leech, I dont think my chickens read this! they know Im hopeless anyway! mate you should see how much teenage girls perv on guys , oh my god I never knew till I had 2 of my own! they are as bad as a 16 yr old boy!

As far as cleaning, I do the one dip in the water and carry it to the grass, if I do get sand on the sail, I roll it up, then stand it up in the shower and let water run thru the rolled up sail, this is pretty rare though, 99% of the time I just carry it up the beach wet, and pack it up on the grass.
