Hi All Windsurfers, not a windsurfing related post but your kind support would still be greatly appreciated.

In Sept 2013 a group of kiters will be heading from Australia to the UK to make attempts at several of the English Channel world records.

Sam Lutman-Pauc holds the current record having crossed the English Channel in 1 hour and 51 minutes and by doing so beat the previous record by 27 minutes, which was recorded by Sam Branson in July 2012.

Be sure to follow the preparations and progress of the team over the coming months

The group are also fundraising in support various charities including Red-kite and the Cancer Council, so all support will be most welcome & appreciated.

If I may say, it is likely that the cost of getting yourself there and gearing yourself up with nice shiny stuff will exceed the money you raise.
Your money could have gone to charity instead of having sponsors fund your UK/Euro holiday.

That said, best wishes for your otherwise exciting adventure.

List at the end here of various crossings. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/English_Channel
Kite-surfing, wind-surfing, kayaking are not mentioned, though children in dinghies (aged from 7 years!), are.
