Hi Windsurfers,
I'll be on a business trip in Sydney in mid September and will extend it by a one-week-holiday. I'm really excited about the journey and I know that one week is really nothing for a large country like Australia, but that's all I could get.
Because of the short time I guess I'd rather stay in the area around Sydney. Where can I go for windsurfing there? Provided there's wind at that time, of course.
I've been windsurfing for about seven years, can do waterstarts and harness/ footstraps and presently try to manage the perfect power jibe. Wave experience is limited, though.
I would have to rent all equipment, therefore I'd also need a surf-rental around.
Who can send in some spot suggestions and maybe also contacts for rental and affordable accomodation?

If you've got a week in Sydney in September I'd probably be inclined not to both with windsurfing and enjoy Sydney instead... the surfing is awesome, the city is great but windsurfing in Sept will be a bit average.

If you are fully in to windsurfing then you might want to jump on an internal flight somewhere that others are better placed to advise on - will it still be windy in NE Queensland?

Hope that doesn't sound too negative, thought it worth mentioning now rather than you discovering average winds when you get here! Please don't be too pissed of with me if its a freak week of 30kt winds!
