What a great event. Biggest turn out ever.
It was great to see some of the fastest guys in Oz go head to head.

What an Awesome "Fun" day.

Truly amazing to watch the transition of so many normally rational windsurfers turn into frothing speed freaks once the radar gun is turned on.

Just love watching everyone come in doing their absolute limit skating so close to edge of disaster with a smile on their faces and also those of us who fell over that edge were entertaining as well

Twas a fantastic weekend away again

Huge thanks to the organizers and most importantly Anna and all the rest of the time keepers frantically logging peoples speed for over 4 hours.

The legs are still sore today but the smile hasn't gone away. Bring on the next fun day.

I think a HUGE thank you to Anne-Marie and Maureen is well deserved. Without them clocking us on the speed gun and recording the results the event would have no results at all.

Brilliant weekend, watching people like Chris Lockwood, and Robbie Radis sail so fast is just amazing, sailing on the edge of insanity is breathtaking!!!!!!!

Thanx to all the organisers, the turnout was a vote of confidence in the event!!!!!

The after event social celebrations sounded fantastic, the number of hangovers were testament to that!

Sounds like a ripper of an event.
I really wish we could get something like that happening over here in Sydney. Lots of fast guys around here too.
maybe Bestic St in a nor-easter or the new secret spot further down the bay in a Southerly.
Anyone around have any ideas or knowledge of timing rqeuired??
It would be fun to go up against your mates and other sailors

Sounds like it was one of those "good" days, organised in a manner that makes most just happy to attend.
Could have done with some tips from the top people, but Elmo and Reg both know why I couldn’t get there this year
Maybe next time, maybe, or an event later on in season when my confidence gets back after the last prang.

Thanks for that, looks like it will be more estuary practice for a while to come yet, My fitness levels still haven't improved so it looks like wave sailing is out of the question for he time being.

Was in a world of hurt for most of the day (still hurting) legs gave out after about 45mins, then it was wait a bit do a couple of runs, then wait some more. It eventually got to the stage where I could only do the one run.

There is some good footage of me doing what I do best (pranging spectacularly) which was good to see

It was such a good day, which I think everyone enjoyed

Robbi was using an RS6 of unknown size and a new Small Kinetic Freeride board on it's first time out.

Don't know how windy it was I had a 6.2m RS4 up max downhaul and on the bottom eyelet, didn't need to pump it much lot of people were on 5's

Thanks Elmo, I have a Gladiator, and was just wondering if Robbie was on one, as he is involved with Kinetic.
Good to see you did well too

Cheers,
Bob.

Beauty Elm, You did bloody well, you been sick as a dog for months, you've turned into a fat bastard, you could only sail for 5 minutes at a time for the last couple of months, and you been sailing 18 years less tham me, well done, hope you fully recover soon!!

Let's face it Elmo, tell everybody what it's like being 6 kilo's heavier than the hardie fella?? Though the only problem is I'm probably now going to lose my windwarrior fat bastard modelling contract

Awesome weekend. Thanks Reg and co for organising it.

It was really good to see Robbie back on the water, and he was flying. Thought I had it sorted all afternoon, but it was all over when Rob put in his last run.

Awesome afternoon, great to see so many people turn up, have a go, and turn into speed machines once the radar came out...

Although it wasn't too windy, the sail from Hangover Bay (aptly chosen) to Cervantes was a good challenge. Congrats to Magne and Blair for getting there first...

To clarify, on Saturday I was using a 6.6m KA Koncept, 50cm Carbon Art speed board, and a 30cm Techtonics Falcon fin. My speed fins are designed for flat water, so I used the Techtonics- which has a lot more flex and handles the sharp confused chop a little easier. Its a nice downwind fin and works great on my board.

Just want to add our thanks to Reg and Anne Marie for their work.

It was brilliant fun, I managed to lose .1 of a second off last year's speed!! But fortunately Nat picked up another 5.1Ks on last year.

I must correct you Slowboat, Will and I came in 1 and 2 in the downwinder from Hangovers, (possibly because we left half an hour before everyone else but I'm still claiming it!!!)

See ya next year..!!

There's plenty more where that came from
The dismounts are spectacular
But Elmo takes the cake.
Watch out for the full crash sequence[}:)]
