I just read a thread on the kite forum about a windsurfer launching his rig at a kiter in order to 'take him out'

www.seabreeze.com.au/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=26537

Anyone actually see this happen that was actually there on the day ?
Keen to know:
1) If this sort of thing is really happening
2) If there was an incident leading up to it
3) If this is an urban myth put out by disgruntled members of the sport in order to cause further divide between Poleys and Tea bags ?

DaveSpruce might have the answer but he's used cryptic encoding..

"Get som ***** and stop ****ing kiters over you ****ing windsurfing whores!"

Does anyone have an Enigma decryping machine circa 1943?

Comrade Gary

I have this machine you speaking of

This is not old machine... this is state of art for KGB for sure yar.
These are results after inputing code:

****ing = word sound like 'trucking'

som***** = 'brain' as in some brain - I not sure why this is swearing word or needing of code ?

As for events that happen in Coronations I am also very interesting to hear if anyone see this occur and can be shedding of the more light on it please Ok ?

I like the description of what the windsurfer did... apparently he 'threw his gear' at the kiter.

Now I don't know if the rumours of chuck norris windsurfing at Corros are true, if so then no problem, but if a mere mortal tried to throw a windsurfer at someone else I doubt they'd get very far unless the kiter was really really close. Like, too close.

I love the way kiters jump in the deep end "OMG thoz poleys are the suxX0r, We RulZ and Ne1 wat says othr is WACK!" without considering something like... um... why someone would throw an expensive piece of kit at someone else so it could get damaged. *sigh*

I found the footage FROM CORROS

As you can see the ****ing Ba$%$rd Winsur**ing poley Whore (FBWPW)(Ask Kremlin for cheap decription service) literally THROWS his windsurfer at the Kiter who is just minding his own business doing a boost.
By the way I love boosts.. Nothing more technically challenging ive heard.. Tourists like it too.

I dont think it means he literally picked his sailing kit up off the ground and threw it at the kiter.... I think it's something more like lined up a jump and then speared his gear into the guy slingshot style. It's actually not that hard to do !

Back to the original question though... did anyone actually see this occur or is it just hype and poley bashing in a bid to further spread the divide ?

Yeah Harry Pothead is a nut!

Also (from the same thread) keep your eyes out while sailing for a very small monkey (that has learned sign language) carrying a flare gun.

Could have escaped from a Chinese zoo..

the windsurfer was prolly just bailing his stuff and the kiter got in the way..
as uncle chop chop would say " harden the **** up."

but seriously the windsurfer probably didn't see the kiter and when to place his gear over there and then the kiter got in the way. The kiter should think himself lucky the windsurfer didn't make him pay for any damage to his gear.

I know this all sounds very funny, but what if it is true and it was a reasonably unprovoked atack

Thats totally unacceptable behavior and a danger to us all having such a mentality in the water.

That kind of behavior (if a deliberate act) can not be condoned by anyone, not matter what the circumstance.

It takes no effort at all to get on with kiter's, I have a lot of good mates who are kiter's and I would be pretty pissed if any of them (or windsurfers)were hurt by some homicidal retard who shouldn't be on the water.

thats my 2 bobs worth anyway

I agree Elmo. A mug is a mug and partisan support for homicidal mug just because he is a windsurfer is chauvinism. I think we're above that, but I've been wrong before.

I disagree Elmo
You would have seen me I'm the poley with the twitch in one eye and I talk a bit slowly.
I have stitched razor blades to the leading edge of my sails (took weeks every night) and I have ground my fins down to really sharp points. I carry a knife on the water, just in case y'know how it is. Last night I developed a really fast an effective way go gut a kite, cut the strings off and use them to tie the kiters up

who's with me

yep those kiters are totally right. we (poleys) are all just jealous!
so many tricks and moves!! Wow!! its a pity that you can do 99% of them just dangling from a bit of rope on your verandah.

Kiter near on done himself in at Pinnaroo Wed night, one of the crew I sail with went to the guys aid, poor bastard had the kite lines wrapped around his legs, kite trying to re-launch and him holding onto marker float for grim death. Bugger wouldn’t cut his lines, no matter what Paul dropped his sail, swam downwind and deflated kite for him, and with that he was able to untangle himself.
By the time Paul had got back to his board and sail, water started and came back to the shore line he was well and truly tin fruited But he had the energy to head back up to the school, advising that one chap was in trouble.

Now we have to be all back in the good books by now after this little escapade from Paul. And yep I helped, gave him a pat on the back when he got back to me, told him he was a fine chap

Ah but Susie, would he have done that for you if you were a bloke? I don't think so. No, he would have directed you to Lake bloody Eyre instead and then posted giggles on the kite forum. They're a bunch of fun lovin bastards over there and definitely not to be trusted. Didn't give him your mobile number did you ... big mistake...

Agree.

Everyone gets too wound up over things....surf rage, road rage, shopping trolly rage....faaaaaark me! I am so surprised of all the w.nkers that get so upset about trivialities. saw some rage between sailors and a kiter at Grave Yards (Ningaloo reef...exmouth peninsula) reagrding right of way....now there were 4 sailors and one kiter on a break 1-200 metres wide...plenty of room for all and more...mistakes are made....just watch out and be carefull....and as much as possible be friendly and obey "the rules"

We are all there to have fun, and yet we all treat our sport as if we make money from it to survive. 99.99999% (best guess) of sailors and kiters do it for fun and are not professionals earning money from their skill in the sport......lets lighten up and show some respect to each other.....peace man!!
