I don't know how much carbon is in a 787 but given that a large portion of that aircraft is now carbon there's probably a lot. Case in point it's a lot more to gain from Boeing etal recycling carbon that windsurfing companies.
Not the original topic but related to the carbon footprint of the windsurfing industry. Have you counted the carbon we burn in our cars getting to and from the beach? And the extra carbon burnt going to non-windsurfing destinations in a surfmobile which is less economical than the eco-scooter we'd otherwise make do with?
