With the direction the wind is blowing on sunday does anyone think Gearies or Avalon will be working on Sunday?

Direct south is side off, and geary's has a slightly bigger wind shadow in the impact zone than avi. I've had a good wave sail at avi in a sse, but it was strong and big swell, if you only caught big waves and didn't venture too far inside, it was ok, but go too far in and it was a nightmare getting back out. Also the houses on the hill have appeared since then, don't know if it's possible anymore.

probably good but wait and see! too much excitement may be too exciting.....
I'll be checkin these arrows.

Although with what I've read about what's happening down this way, on the thread about "where to put your keys",
would advice to slip into the water discreetly . dont' want to be noticed by those weird tribes.
however seems that PoorR could take care of everybody belongings which I guess is good. you go and sail with a free mind or maybe not

If the wind is straight south;

Avalon and Gearys are not feasible.

Certainly not for a kite, let go of those lines for a second and it's good buy kite, unless you can find a fast boat quick.
Personaly I don't think the forecast wind or swell is strong/big enough for either place to be much good. But I wasn't going to tell anybody that. The more people who go away disapointed, may be the less that come down next time!!

I understand your sentiment decrepit. It does get a bit full out there.

I think I will just go down and take a look.

By the way, do any of you guys know Bob who sails at safety Bay and Pengos ( white vdub van). Him and his wife normally sail together. I think he is retired, or atleast he's never at work.
Its just that I havent seen him for an age ( ive been away on hols )and I got a boom that I still owe him for, so im trying to get in touch with him.

You were right filthy,

Avalon was great Monday.

5.2 from 10am to 3pm, nice

About six sailors out and one kite.
