I have some gear to sell but haven't bought or sold any gear in Oz (I'm from the UK) and wondering what people think would be reasonable prices. What do you think? To high? To low? I know essentially the proof is in whether it sells or not but would be good to advertise at the right price:

Gaastra Matrix 8m - 2006 - great condition - $400
North 430 drop shape mast - 2006 - 75% carbon - great condition - $200
Atan (French make) 400 mast SDM - 2006 - 50% carbon - good condition - $120
Windtek 162-222 alloy mast - 2007 - OK condition - $65
Arrows 200-250 alloy mast - 2004 - good condition - $80
Quiverack - roofbox for 4 sails, masts and a boom - $500

What do you think? Are these prices reasonable? Thank you for your help!

More importantly, where is the wind??? I'm going to be selling all my gear and buying a kayak if this keeps up!!

I know gear gets more sun / UV damaged here than it does in the UK but I don't believe its of no value at all. I do agree that older kit is valueless - 2004 or before?

Yeah, don't tell my gear that it has to be 2006 or newer. It seems to be okay for the most part except I think it has forgotten how to gybe properly.

I was surprised when reading the lists in a previous post about how much gear everyone has got. I wasn't surprised at how much they had, but at how new most of it was. How can people afford that?

I think one of the difficulties with selling gear in Aus is that the market would be much smaller than in the UK.

I'm originally from the UK and one obvious difference I noticed between the UK/AUS windsurfing scene was numbers of participants. There are so many more windsurfers in the UK buying second hand kit which keeps the prices higher. Over here, there are so few people that it's tough to offload old kit - so it goes at bargain bin prices.

I have a used 4 times 4.2m sail from 2002 - it's in perfect condition - and it's probably worth $10 at most. It becomes a situation where you just don't sell anything and you end up with loads of kit!!! In fact I don't even know where my sail is - Tim, do you still have it?!?!
