This bloke could work it out for us? Got to be a few hundred dollars. And what about missing out on one? The two figures may differ.

I read that too but didn't apply it to my life. However I was thinking about whether its better to spend money on new windsurfing gear or holidays. We went on a trip down to Sanctury Point on the weekend. Even though the wind was a bit lacking we had a good time and all up it would have cost us around $500.

I think I got the same enjoyment out of the trip as having a good day's sailing so I'd say a decent breeze and being able to sail it is worth around $500 to me.

Agree with a major ilness costing $50K. I buggered my back earlier this year and it really got me down, probably similar to losing $50K on the stockmarket or something like that. Thankfully I'm on the mend and its worth a million.

But when it comes to divorce, the Aussie male will be so devastated it would be as if he had lost $110,000. An Aussie woman would be less traumatised, feeling as if she had lost only $9000.

Probably because he does lose $110,000....

Even with the loss (it's way more than $110k often), I've known a couple of blokes who were still $200k happy after... The price for the right to windsurf

When I am driving home in the breeze, passing you on your pushbike is priceless.

I feel sorry for all the blokes that get set up in life & then go through a divorce & end up with bugger all.. it would certainly turn you off relationships..
