Received this warning this morning, Friday 2nd November 2007 from a City of Rockingham ranger. Seems this shark could be sick and staying close to shore for an easy feed.

'Good morning

I have just been advised of the sighting of a 6 metre white pointer shark close to shore near Bent Street boat ramp.

Swimmers sighted the shark which breached the surface and it is currently heading toward Warnbro Sound.'

THIS IS NOT A JOKE:

I have just spoken with the Head Ranger at Rockingham council and he has confirmed that the sighting this morning was allegedly in the 'Duck Pond'.

He advised to contact Fisheries or the Water Police for updates.

A couple of weeks ago I was sailing behind pinguin island and thought "hmm this name... sounds like a shark's fridge"!!!
