I owned one back when they first came out - bought it to replace an E-Rock which I had broken. I thought it was very fast (faster than the E-Rock anyway), not all that stiff, jibed well at full speed but stalled easily if I wasn't fully committed, bouncy through chop but not all that punishing because it would flex more than other similar boards. It would, I think act as if it had 20ltr LESS volume than more modern boards because it's pretty narrow. Mine had a trim box not a powerbox.

I had a Bic Veloce 278. About 120 litres from memory. At the time I was incapable of gybing, but on it I learned strap to strap technique.
The water wasn't perfectly flat either. If it's cheap, I'd say try it.

I spend more than that on piss every time I go out for a drink.

iirc, the Veloce was more user friendly than the Vivace. The Veloce was a pretty fun board to ride at the time - I had one for a while and surprisingly felt bigger than a Mistral Flow that was supposed to be similar in volume.

Personally, I'd spend double to get a newer, wider board of similar volume. Those boards are good memories but when I get back on one they aren't quite as fun as the memory suggests.

The straps are crap and the size is quite small. Powered up on a 6.0 down to 4.7(?) This thing is hard to catch!

Definitely a power hungry, go all out type of board.

From 1 to 100 I'm envious at 99 level about Cabarette?s conditions...

We usually have 8 to 15 knots only between 12PM and 5PM, and windy days could be 25k.

But... we also seem to live just in the part where the thermal winds avoid... because the big wind flow is 100KM south from home or 150KM north...

So... I went to buy a small sail for my kid were a guy had several windsurfing junk material and I saw a really fine F2 Comet 330 with a dagger... so here it comes home...

Lately I got a Bic Rock (free from a friend), a Tiga Aloha, similar to the Speed model (30?), the F2 Comet (50? with a Gaastra Boom, an Epoxy old mast reaaaallly long that I needed for a vintage sail, a 4,8M Dacron sail (for the kids to trash and learn), a Tabou Rocket 105 61 for 200? with a NP 5,7 sail and 3 Goya sails with 2 masts in perfect shape for 200? more...

So... cheap is fun in Windsurfing world at my learning level.

Flat water, 14-25 knot breeze, good board.
270 V was 55 wide, so 280 gotta be wider.
Easy uphaul for anyone sub 85 kg.
