I know a few seabreeze'rs run Reflex III 7.0's, and I am having trouble fitting the cams.

I finally got to sail this on Sunday, it took me nearly half an hour to get the cams on, and even then I am not sure, if the force I needed to get them on is good for the gear. Getting them off again without a big bang was not easy either.

Once the sail was rigged rotation was firm but fine, just a firm tug needed after the jibe and was impressed with the sail.

I have the Severne 430, which is the correct size, but its the 75% blue line not the Recommended 100% Enigma. I am told it has the same curve, but It can't be 'exactly' the same.

The bottom cam is a real menace to get on and off. I have tried different outhaul settings from -+5cm, and downhaul setting from +5 +15 cm. I tried pushing the bottom cam from inside the sleeve, and through the little pocket but its hard if not impossible to reach inside the luff pocket down at the bottom cam.

I don't have access to the enigma mast to see if fits on any easier, so wondering if anyone else finds this sail difficult to fit the cams?

I reckon I have either yet to find the perfect settings to fit the cams, or the mast I have is not really the right one, which will be a bit of bummer!

Apply enough downhaul so that you can get the boom on. When the pulleys are about 50-60mm (guesstimate) from the base of the extension that should be enough then set your boom to 208cm. Wrap the outhaul rope around one of the black lugs instead of using the eyelets, pull the outhaul rope so that the rope is just tight but no more. Then release about 80-100mm of downhaul. This will pull more tension on the outhaul rope. Start at the top cam and work your way down. If the top cam keeps coming off you have let too much downhaul off. It should go on very easily as well as the second from the top. The third one will be a little tougher and you may need to release just a smidge of downhaul and once it's on release just a little bit more downhaul before putting the bottom one on. The bottom cam will be the hardest but shouldn't be too hard if the downhaul is released the correct amount. You can over release the downhaul and make the bottom cam go on easily but the top cam will keep coming off. It's not that much of an issue as once the bottom cam is on you can pull about 20mm more downhaul on again then put the top cam back on and it should stay then downhaul the sail completely.
The cams will come off fairly aggressively so when you release the down haul just let the rope slide through your hand rather than just letting it go and you will have to manually remove the bottom cam when derigging.
Sometimes i get the downhaul settings spot on during the rigging process and the cams go on without any fuss but sometimes i have to fiddle with the downhaul during rigging and the difference between the right and wrong amount is quite small. Don't over outhaul the sail during the process either because you will pull the belly out of the sail making the cams impossible to get on.
I rig mine on an Enigma but i doubt very much that your mast is any part of the problem.
