So good.

I've been searching for conditions like this in seq / nth nsw and may have found a spot hiding in plain sight. more cross shore, with smaller waves and much less wind however very good setup for float and ride.. /was on the sup there on the weekend and wished I had a sail.

Scared to say until I've actually sailed there..I was told to look there a couple of years back by someone who's across this stuff but I didn't. Let's just say it's a bit of a tourist spot..

I normally don't go there because of wind. I find somewhere more sheltered to catch a wave... couldn't find a park on the weekend so went to this spot . It's busy ..

Being heavier I built my own 135lt wave board because at the time I either needed custom or a sup. I agree in light winds the waves are better...

the issue we have in seq, northern nsw is the majority of the wind is se onshore or ne onshore due to the prevailing weather and when the wind is up from the se the waves are large with a shore dump and significant sweep.. we have limited offshore wind spots. We do have Currumbin which is cross shore in a se and a great spot and 2 other popular spots which are full of great whites and hectic surf when the winds up but that's a me issue. and I mean full of great whites..

the spot in the photos typically sees cleaner medium to small swell and is cross shore regularly. Still wildlife around but not like a bit further south. Always enjoy it when there is some wildlife around. Surfed there with whales last September.

The photos were just screen shots from today which was dead offshore and cross shore. Swell was bigger on the weekend but the right hander is there and it's away from the surfers...I'll give this place some more visits with windsurfing gear in tow.

Oddly the other spots I've always wanted to try is the superbank. from snapper to Kirra which is prob off limits because they are surfing spots... Ironically the thing that makes snapper and Kirra so good is the typical se winds that bring the swell blow offshore there..

Heading north on the sunny coast it's Caloundra which does it prob 3 or 4 times a year.
