Hi

i am looking for a secondhand car, it needs to be able to take boards internally, would anybody on the forums know if you can get a 240 cm board inside one of these vehicles - not the current shape impreza but the previous model.

the other option i am looking at is holden astra wagon, however i would prefer to stick with subaru ( and the forrester/outback/liberty are too expensive).

any help gratefully appreciated

thanks

Max

Should do with the nose in the front passenger footwell...

Awesome little car... A little under-powered though... Needs a turbo though

Hey Max not sure about the subaru but i've got a 2002 Mazda 323 Hatch and get my full kit of two boards, 3 sails, one mast and one boom in there very easily. the bigger of my two boards is 240cm.
I can still have the right hand side back seat up on the odd occasion that the mrs wants to come along to the beach.

I have had 3 subaru imprezas (2001 RX Hatch, 2000 WRX sedan and 2009 R sedan) now and all I can say is that they are fantastic cars.

Last year I made a trip from Mackay to Port Macquarie with 2 boards (101l FSW and 77l freewave, 5 sails, 3 masts, 2 booms and all associated gear for a two week trip to Lord Howe. Needless to say i was the only one in the car but everything fitted in without a problem.

I think the previous models to the current shape would be fine. Maybe turn up to the test drive with a board??
