Stuck Extension....

Any ideas on getting a extension out of my mast.there may have been a post before about it but cant find it.

Well if soaking in a bit of warm water and trying to twist out doesnt work then:

Try taking the cap off the spiggot, then using the top half of the mast inside the bottom, to gently tap the extension.

This is all I can think of...

Hint for next time for stuck mast pieces or extensions.
Using a boom to hold the mast, while threading a screw-driver through the extension holes to give some rotary leverage works quite well.
A boom on each mast piece and a gentle jiggle works a treat, and beats the tug-o-war approach for a stuck together mast.

Actually the best way to deal with a stuck mast is a bit of prevention. It's real easy to tape the joint before you rig up. This will lessen the chance of it ever getting stuck 10 fold.
