Just purchased a secondhand Starboard Go for my lad and want to ask what the small holes(look like footstrap screw holes) are on the side of both rails?

Post some Pics. then you will get a shedload of stupid answers, then someone will give you the correct answer. You get what you want, and others get some fun too.

What year is the board?
The older ones had the option of adding two side fins in place of a centreboard or centre fin which some boards, such as the Kode Tufskin now have.
Heres an image from the starboard archive.

it's a 2005,looking at the pics you're spot on Muzza, thanks for the info

muzzas got it but beware that the hole orientation changed a couple of times so it is not just a matter of finding any old 'wing'

I don't want to add any wings to it just wasn't sure wether they were made in production and they wouldn't suck up any water.

We don't need pics to post stupid answers.

I'm surprised at how light this board is for a 170 litre and having a tuttle box(fit my fins) i might be using it as well.

I have the same board (170l). I have a lot of fun on this board in light winds with an 8.5m and a 6.7m when it's just a bit to light from my 101l.

I've just brought a 10m for it to get out in the really light stuff.
