hey people..
I am making my way to tassie tomorrow and have a few days to do it in.
leaving from brisbane so if anyone knows any good places to wave sail south of coffs harbour can you let me know.. also if they have good camping ground (good = cheap) or a decent back packers near buy that would be sweet ..

definately stop off at Yamba (3 and a bit hours from Bris) for a wave sail at the northern end of Pippis Beach in a north-easterly. You won't regret it! Good camp ground nearby as well.

boulder point (just s of lennox)
woolgoolga - just north of coffs (ne)
south west rocks - (ne)
halliday's point - between taree and forster (ne)
port stephens/hawks nest - ne or s
central coast - swansea channel (ne and run out tide)
central coast - soldiers beach (ne)
sydney - newport (s)
sydney - long reef (ne or s)
sydney - botany bay (ne or s)
sydney - cronulla/wanda (ne)
windang - s
gerroa - ne
jervis bay - all
merimbula - ne or s
sandy point - w or s
there are lots of others that i don't know or have missed

round 1 of the state formula and slalom titles starts in hobart at sandy bay this week end

steer clear of the garlic prawns at the marrawah pub - steaks are good though.
