I'll be red thumbed for this but I think its a scam like most charities and not for profits out there. A couple of blokes thought it up, marketed it and now run this as a charity. Its a lucrative earner for them.
Just like the not for profit organistions. Half of them are set up so they keep the profits for themselves.
There are so many charities in Australia, something like one for every twenty Australians.
A friend of mine was working for a well known charity as a fund raiser and was earning close to $200K a year. Her sister who is a university academic was pissed off coz she wasn't earning half that amount.
I can vouch for this. I worked for a few non for profit firms and there is a bit of this going on, HOWEVER, I think its a good cause to raise awareness for men's cancers, considering mens cancer is never at the forefront of media attention unlike female cancers - so for this reason I support it.
