Flip the head over or use it upside down.

Severnes dress on the left. Nearly everyone else does it on the right.
So the boom clamp closes in the opposite direction to the predominant industry standard.
If you turn it upside down it closes in the conventional direction.

So how does the direction the boom clamp closers affects it's use? Sounds like a silly argument.

Its just easier to rig when you feed the hinging clamp from the bottom up

If you sail a port tack spot and all your gear works together (don't mix and match), then it's perfect - walk up the beach and the gear is in the correct position ready for de-rig!

And when you un-role the sail to rig it up the mast sleeve faces the ocean so your sail don't flip over.

I herd there were many discussions involving beer to work out the best way to make everything perfect for sailing in W.A.

Mine does too if I spinabout 180deg

doesn't matter which way you do it just has to be consistent.I have a 'normal'extension and a severne (which gets less use). Really annoying trying to visualise the threading order backwards when u have not usedit awhile
