I am an intermediate sailor, sailing mostly( by necessity and choice) in light winds in freshwater lakes here in Canada. My weight is 83 kg. My quiver consists of an 8.5 Severne Focus, a 7.5 Ezzy and and a 6.5 Pilot. So far I have been using mostly the 7.5 Ezzy, seldom the 6.5 . Now my increased experience is bringing me to the threshold of higher winds, so I am considering going below the 6.5.
I know the next logical step would be to jump to a 5.5, but I wouldn't want to invest in a sail size for winds still a bit too high for my experience and altogether not too frequent here in summer. It would be a waste of money. So I was thinking of a 6.0 as a safe compromise.
I have seen a moderately priced Severne Convert for sale here in Canada. I 'd like to know :

1. My current mast is a constant curve GUN Sails 460 30/% carbon. mast. Length-wise, will it take a 6.0 Severne Convert or do I I have to buy a shorter mast?

2. Can the Severne Convert be fitted on constant curve mast. If it is designed for another type of mast (a flextop or other) can it still be used on a c.c. without any major draw-back?

3. Any comments on the quality and performance of the Severne Convert?
I already have an 8.5 Severne Focus and I like it because of it lightness, even compared to the other smaller sails I have and it also looks very sturdy. I was wondering how the Convert compares to it, quality-wise.

Any comments or suggestions?

Thanks
