All,

I was just wondering if anybody has ever sold second hand kit here in W.A as the market doesn't appear to exist.

I've had possible one of the finest and boldest inovations of a board on the market since late last season yet no one has come near it.

Which makes me think that either everybody in WA is loaded and just buys new kit each year or people have garages full of kit they just can't sell. Unfortunately i appear to becoming the latter.

NM.

I think the second hand market is fairly decent. Looks like some good buys on "Buy and Sell". I think a lot of people may buy their second hand gear from shops that sell on consignment, so if you have a good kit to sell perhaps try there.

Cheers,

Tozza.

Surely it would be better than over east?
Anywya I've never had a problem selling my 2nd hand gear at shops or on seabreeze. That would be about 5 boards and 6 ish sails in 5yrs I guess. Except for one sail that is soo sooo sooooooo cheap and nobody wants it, go figure

how does it work selling via the shops in WA. Do they do trade-ins against new kit or is it just consignment stuff.

I think the gear is mainly sold on consignment but if you have some gear that will move quickly you might get a trade in with it.

Have you advertised on Seabreeze yet?

Either. Some shops prefer one or the other slightly but I'm suree all of them do both.. Trade in on 2008 stuff is a lot easier in a coupla months as they know your stuff will move when the first seabreezes / euro's arrive.

What are you selling monkey

trying to move the EVO as I will never get another board past the missus. She's pretty cool but even i have to admit 4 boards in the garage is a bit much.

4 boards isnt too much, look at it as being prepared for the next day of one board breaks. i have 6 boards, and im trying to move one to get another one.

yeah i suppose i just don't like taking the piss by saying its the most amazing board in the world and then give sum bull**** excuse whilst i am selling it on, or trying to.

Stribo is one of the few people at my weight who sails an EVO 92 and appears to rate it very highly. Infact after seeing him charge at mainbreak lancelin one season I decide it could be a board for me.

If everybody got the right board the first time they bought one nobody would try different stuff.

saying that the evo could make a good bench next to my BBQ.
