Yeah my dad stood out in the water for about an hour. It was great. 25 to 30 knot gusts. I was happy with a 5.0 but just a lot over powered. Still great fun though. And yeah some of my dismounts were prity fun. One of my mates was having a go at me for that though. It was about knee deep at most where i was sailing, so some stacks did hurt a bit. It was also such a hot, crappy day, that for most of the time i was the only person on the water. I actually prefer sailing with other guys. Problem is there all at least 7 years older than me.

Also. Uploadings time consuming and annoying. I just have to much time on my hands in christmas holidays. Any way you can make the size limit larger and be able to upload more than one at a time Laurie?

cheers

Bubs,
7 Years.....I think you are being very kind to a few of the fellows that you sail with. I think the average age of sailors over here would be about 45, why.... because it takes that long to save up to afford the gear.I think Bubs is about the only junior we have sailing here, and he is keen. Don't worry mineral I have both his boards at the momment and with trade him for the camera.

Reiffo, yep, don’t see too many like him on forums (now that will bring out the young guns for sure)
Have to agree about the cost to get to a point you can go light wind and fast wind, flat water blasting, wave stuff, and the mix of gear. Even the initial set up cost is tough for young guns.
Good on his Dad for helping him into the sport
Get him to get a helmet, if he hasn’t already got one (Elizibethb has one for sale.)

Please don't say that. My mums been wanting me to get a helmet for ages and i deffently DO NOT want one. Shocking things.

Chris, you've got two of our boards, we bought a new Naish supercross and we still got my Naish wave board home here. I'm the only one who can keep my board from getting destroyed.

Also i think the second youngest in SA might be my brother Alex (18yo). Dad got us into it early and we love it ever since.

And gear is extreamily expensive. I think that would have to been the only down side to this great sport.

Hey Bubs,

The gear that you sold me was at a great price. If i had to go and by some expensive learners gear i don't think i would have even tryed to windsurf and cheers for the lessons lol i know how much you love them lol.

cheers pittsy.

PS. I don't think i would be included as a windsurfer yet at the rate i am going so you and alex are like the two youngest windsurfers i know.
