100$ Thanks regie from wsp. board runs harder big air and shts allover my 2008 f20 and starboard. 25-30 jump and bump left starboards for dead. enough said. thanks regie. im kinda converted to rrd that 100 buck board dude is fn sick jump and bump.i spent most of my time in the air!!!! Starboard is good but like 20 years behind the rrd that board 25 years old overpowred rrd smashed brand new 2000$ starboards into submission. i have found my neiche for jump and bump. was runnig 7.5s on a freride and loosing rail but today running a 5.7 in 25-30 knots the rrd with a 34 weedfin was an unstoppable force. thanks regie from windsurfing perth. that 100 dollar rrd just smashed it.

Did you try your starboard or F2 with a 5.7 in 25-30 knots as well?
The f2 seems to be a lighter board but dosent seem to get on the trim as quick once its on the trim its good dont work well once you loose your initial speed. Seems to take alot of foot work to get direction before you enter the starps and get trimming The starboard is still and exceptionl board it seems to handle the large 7.5 8 metre sails well in lighter conditions it performs very very well upwind aswel but seems to slap around on the surface in real rough chop tho. The starbord seems to be alot more comfortable on the ankles
I like the pointed nose and the rocker on the old board was just really supprized that 100 dollar oldschool board did the distance and performed incrediably well in rough jump and bump I guess there is alot of boards what one person may like and find comfortable the other might not.
Older boards from my knowledge are generally narrower and longer in shape.
This style has a lot going for it in windy and choppy conditions. One of the Pommy mags compared an old Mistral Screamer to a new one. They generally found the new board to be better except in more extreme conditions when control is more important than lift. I think their conclusion was if the mastrack on the old board could be moved back, the old screamer was still a good board when its windy.
Good to hear you like the old board. I doubt its from the 1980s though. Was Richardo building RRD boards back then?
