Buyers of gear advertised on Seabreeze need to be careful. One of our staff at our shop in Adelaide has been selling our gear and pocketing the money.

If anyone has bought gear from Adelaide and not received a receipt or been asked to deposit funds directly into a bank account please send me a PM so we can sort everything out.

If what you bought was new (ie not used) then your manufacturers warranty is valid only if you have a receipt.

Your deal will be honoured, we just need some help working out what has gone on.

Did you sack him? Or was it authorized?

Hi Greenroom,

The person concerned was authorised to sell our shop gear through Seabreeze on our behalf. All purchasers should have received a shop receipt with the goods as some gear was brand new and carried full product warranties.

Users of Seabreeze were buying gear but the money they paid wasn't finding its way to the shop.

The matter is currently part of an on-going investigation with the SA Police.

Is the sale of shop stock through Seebreeze widespread practice? Should ads placed on behalf of members of the trade be clearly identified? Does it matter?

I beleive trader adds should be such marked on the advert. This dosn't really help this seller with his problem, nor does it really impact on the buyer, but its a matter of full disclosure.

Maybe keeping an eye on who you employ is the WTG.

The title of this post and your shpeel seems to me to insinuate that Seabreeze is less than above board, when in fact it was your crap choice of employee that created this.

Seabreeze has done nothing wrong, buyers have done nothing wrong. You however ****ed up......big time.
