I've been to Prasonisi a few years ago. What kind of sailing are u looking for?? have you organised accommodation??

Prasonisi has been on the wishlist for a while, so when I saw that Guy Cribb is now doing clinics there I was sold!! All my accom and sailing has been booked through Guy and it's just the airfares I'm stuck on now. And my struggling bank balance. But that's what credit cards and personal loans are for, right??

yeah - it is pretty good. Pretty much completely flat on one side and on-shore bump and jump on the other side - and (guess more importantly) heaps of wind most days!!

Make sure you also take a day to see the old town in Rhodos town and some of the bays up along the coast. Check Anthony Quinn Bay and try and have dinner at one of the roof top restaurants in Lindos...

The one day I had at Prassonissi the wind eluded me. During the summer Rhodes and the whole Agean gets a very consistant 25 knots at least. You'd be unlucky (like i was) to miss out on it.

I think my airfare was about $2500 return from sydney through a travel agent stopping over at Bangkok, Dubai (for 5 hours), Athens and changing for a flight to Rhodes town. Depending on your luggage, you could hire a scooter and be at prassonisi in a few hours. Otherwise i think there are infrequent public busses that you can catch which may take longer.
Also there might be some cheap accomodation outside of Prassonisi near Gennadi or Pefkos (?) but you'll need transport.

Also there's a killer gyro place in Gennadi. Very popular with tables out on the street. Highly recommended.
