Need some more help.

I have a mast extension stuck in the bit that sticks into the board (sorry for the technical jargon)It has been stuck together since I had it - 3 months. I have tried leaving it in water over night to seperate, but i cant get it apart. Is there a trick to getting it apart, without destroying it?

if degreaser doesn't work, heat up the extension. It'll expand and come off easier. Please don't burn your hands pulling it off. It is really painful holding on to the boom hands full of blisters!

G'day

Back to basics,

What type of base is it?
What does it look like?
Is the base crewed to the board with vissible screws or bolts.
Is the Uni joint a integral part of the base, Like certain Chinook, Niel Pryde bases or can you remove the uni from the base.

A description of Whats what will be of help an then hopefully you can be pionted in the right direction before the Fine tuner (Bloody great Hammer) comes into play.

We all have been frustrated by stuff like this from time to time.

All I need know now is to learn how to get the knots from my vercro shoe laces.

Have Fun

Hi Elmo

I have an old Klepper 320 board. The mast base has the downhaul rope part, then the rubber universal joint and then the small metal rod that sticks straight into the board. The Mast extension is stuck on and I need to get it off, so I can do the bolt up that holds the universal joint in, as it is getting loose. And so I can use smaller sails – if the wind ever picks up.

On a side note, the board allows the mast to move forwards and backwards about a foot or so. What does the adjustment do, and should I use it in different conditions?

Cheers
