hi steve,

which models are you looking at, both year and sizes and what conditions do you sail in?

the north is more a freerace and the rs is a pure race sail...

had a daytona, it had very limited/poor bottom end. Build quality was good, cam system average. I have an rs5 which the rs is based on and it is considerably better in both bottom and top end. Build quality is better than average

Got an RS4 also, awesome piece of work, an absolute pleasure to sail with.

The RS's are supposed to be based on the RS6 but made for an X6 mast with a few less cams, hanfing to have a look when they land on our fine shores.

Sorry guys ill be a little more spcific, the sails that im looking at are 06 mods, I am look at sailing them on a JP 104l 03mod obout 60cm wide, however I might be upgrading to a 06,96L S-cross about 59 wide, and would like the sails to complement both boards, and the pride is a RS X6 Slalam, the conditions that i sail are non tidal both open and cloased waters. Any advice would be appreciated regards steve o

Hey Stevo... My 2 cents... If you wanna go fast, get a dedicated slalom boards as well as full race sails

Some of the top end performance of the race sails you are looking at may be lost on said boards. Otherwise, maybe look at 2-3 cam freerace style sails (not used North, some feedback here not the best on the freerace style)... Freerace should be easier to rig and easier to get out of the water then the wide luffs Freerace may also plane earlier then similar size full race. Full race will probably handle a little more wind on similar size...
